A tattoo removal specialist, a short highway trip from Temple Terrace
Search for tattoo removal from a Temple Terrace zip code and you mostly get brow studios, general med spas and directory listings. EradiTatt is a different kind of business: since 2015 the company has offered laser tattoo removal and nothing else. That single focus is what makes the trip across town to Westshore worthwhile for people who want an old tattoo faded or gone.
- A nurse practitioner at the laser: your sessions are performed by owner Melissa Hoperich, FNP, so the person who plans your treatment is the person who carries it out.
- Lumenis PiQo4: the laser offers four wavelengths and switches between picosecond and nanosecond pulses, which lets the settings follow the ink colors in your tattoo instead of a one-size approach.
- Zimmer Cryo 6 cooling: chilled air flows over the treatment area while the laser works, which takes the edge off the sting.
- Prices in writing: each tattoo size has a published session price, shown in the table further down, and the first consultation is free.
What we can treat for Temple Terrace clients
Most people who come to us from Temple Terrace fall into one of three groups. Some want a tattoo gone completely, whether it is black linework, a script name or a full-color piece. Others are planning new work and need an old design lightened so an artist can tattoo over it; our fade plan for cover-ups explains how that works. The third group wants cosmetic ink removed: eyebrow tattoos, microblading and powder brows are all treated with the same PiQo4 laser.
Colored tattoos are common in this group, and the PiQo4’s multiple wavelengths are the reason we can work on many of them. Our guide to laser removal on colored tattoos covers what to expect from blues, greens, reds and yellows.
Laser treatment isn’t right for everyone at every moment. We postpone sessions during pregnancy, within six months of taking Accutane, for clients on blood thinners or with autoimmune conditions, when the skin is tanned, and when someone has a strong allergy to tattoo ink. Bring up anything on that list at your consultation so we can plan the start date around it.
What tattoo removal costs when you come from Temple Terrace
Your zip code doesn’t change the price. We charge by tattoo size, per session, and anyone who books four sessions together gets 20% off them.
| Size | Roughly | Per session | 4-session pack (20% off) |
|---|---|---|---|
| XX-Small | smaller than a quarter | $100 | $320 |
| X-Small | smaller than a credit card | $175 | $560 |
| Small | smaller than a dollar bill | $225 | $720 |
| Medium | smaller than a CD | $300 | $960 |
| Large | smaller than a DVD case | $400 | $1,280 |
| X-Large | up to a sheet of paper | $600 | $1,920 |
Here is how the math can look. A tattoo about the size of a dollar bill is a Small, so one session costs $225 and a 4-pack costs $720, or $180 per visit. If that tattoo needed 10 sessions, two 4-packs plus two single sessions would come to $1,890. Your real session count depends on the ink, the colors and your skin, which is why we estimate it at the consultation instead of promising a number online. Veterans and active-duty service members receive 15% off, and every client who refers someone who books earns a $50 credit.
You can get a size estimate without making the drive: upload a picture on our photo quote page. For a deeper look at pricing, read the laser tattoo removal cost page.
How long the whole process takes
Full removal usually takes 8 to 12 sessions. We book them 6 to 8 weeks apart, because between visits your body’s immune system carries away the ink particles the laser has shattered, and it works at its own pace. That spacing means a complete removal often stretches past a year. If you only need fading before a cover-up, the plan can be shorter; it depends on how much lightening your artist asks for.
The appointments themselves are short. Laser time is typically 5 to 15 minutes (see how long a laser session takes), so the drive from Temple Terrace is the biggest part of each visit, and you only make it every couple of months. If you have time to plan, our post on which time of year suits starting tattoo removal in Tampa looks at fitting sessions around the seasons. You can walk through each step on our laser removal process page and look at before and after photos on results and reviews.
Driving from Temple Terrace to our Westshore clinic
- From the 56th Street corridor and City Hall: head south on 56th Street to I-4, go west on I-4 to the downtown Tampa interchange, then take I-275 south toward the airport and exit for Westshore Boulevard. The clinic is at 1715 N Westshore Blvd, inside Infinity Medical Institute.
- From USF and Fowler Avenue: drive west on Fowler Avenue to I-275, take I-275 south through downtown, and exit for Westshore Boulevard.
- Timing: allow roughly 25 to 40 minutes. The I-4 and I-275 interchange downtown is the usual slowdown, so late-morning, early-afternoon and Saturday appointments tend to mean an easier drive.

Fitting treatment around USF, work and the Florida sun
Temple Terrace sits right next to the University of South Florida, so plenty of our clients from the area are students, faculty or hospital and research staff with packed calendars. Weekday hours run until 6 PM and Saturday hours until 3 PM, and with the laser part taking minutes, one appointment fits between classes or after a shift.
The bigger planning issue is sun. Between Busch Gardens days, time on the Hillsborough River, rounds of golf and everyday errands, Temple Terrace skin sees a lot of UV. A few habits keep your appointments from being pushed back:
- Four weeks before every session: no sun exposure or tanning on the tattoo. A fresh tan means rescheduling.
- For 24 hours after: skip the gym, runs and other workouts.
- For 2 to 3 days after: keep the treated skin covered while it settles.
- In between: cover the spot with clothing or sunscreen whenever you are outside.

Working somewhere else in Tampa Bay?
For nearly everyone who lives in Temple Terrace, the Westshore clinic is the nearest EradiTatt location. If your job is on the Pinellas side of the bay, though, our St. Petersburg clinic on 4th Street North can be the easier stop before or after work. Pricing and treatment are the same at every location. For questions about scheduling, use our contact page or call the Tampa office.
Questions from Temple Terrace clients
Is there an EradiTatt clinic in Temple Terrace?
No. Clients from Temple Terrace are treated at EradiTatt Tampa, 1715 N Westshore Blvd, Suite 100, inside Infinity Medical Institute near International Plaza. It is open Monday to Friday 10 AM to 6 PM and Saturday 10 AM to 3 PM.
How long is the drive from Temple Terrace to the Westshore clinic?
The clinic is roughly 14 miles away. Most drives take about 25 to 40 minutes using I-4 or Fowler Avenue to I-275 south, with the downtown interchange as the main variable.
Do you offer a student discount for USF students?
We don’t advertise a student discount. The savings we do offer are 20% off when you buy a 4-session pack, 15% off for veterans and active-duty military, and a $50 credit for each referral who books. The consultation is free.
How much does it cost to remove a small tattoo?
It depends on the exact size. An XX-Small tattoo, smaller than a quarter, is $100 per session, and an X-Small, smaller than a credit card, is $175. A Small, up to about the size of a dollar bill, is $225 per session or $720 for a 4-pack. A photo quote tells you which tier your tattoo falls in.
Can I start removal before graduation or a new job?
Yes, but plan ahead. Full removal usually takes 8 to 12 sessions spaced 6 to 8 weeks apart, which often adds up to more than a year. The tattoo lightens gradually, so starting early gives you the most progress by your date.
Can I still go to Busch Gardens or spend a day outdoors during treatment?
Yes. Just keep the tattoo out of the sun with clothing or sunscreen. It must not be tanned for at least 4 weeks before each session, and it should stay covered for 2 to 3 days after one.
Can you remove colored tattoos?
Many of them, yes. The PiQo4 has four wavelengths, which lets us target a range of ink colors as well as black. At your consultation we look at the colors in your tattoo and explain how they are likely to respond.
Can I use the St. Petersburg clinic instead of Tampa?
Yes. Any EradiTatt location can treat you, and prices are the same everywhere. Westshore is the closest clinic to Temple Terrace, while the St. Petersburg clinic at 9210 4th Street N can suit people who work in Pinellas County.
